Inspired by the award-winning Shack at Hinkle Farm, by Broadhurst Architects, Inc., the Crib TM is a multi-purpose small shelter with myriad function ranging from a weekend retreat, a home yoga studio, a backyard home office, to cabins. An interesting aspect is the material of which this crib made. Going along with the growing spirit of environmentalism, it utilizes recyclable material that can be transported and assembled on site. The Crib, in its form, is of a traditional American corn crib. The structural system employs a modern approach with a hint of traditionality which is reflected by combination of shop-fabricated galvanized steel and a wood timber framing with simplicity of a scaffolding system.
